China Glaze Capitol Colours: Harvest Moon and Electrify

Hello Babes! Its been a looooong while and I truly am sorry about that, but A LOT has been going on and I just need to take care of things that are going on in my life. I do miss all of you and blogging dearly though. Tons of swaps and hauls to swatch and share with you, and also a lot that I swatched but have yet to edit and post. With Picnik closing and my refusing to spend buckets on PS, I had to reach out for help on Twitter and I finally found good (so far) new home to edit my pictures. Hopefully this month I can get back to my old routine and schedule posts daily. I noticed that I've had a few swatches sitting in my drafts, I know bad bad me. What I have to share with you today is 2 colors from China Glaze Capitol Colors Collection.

Harvest Moon: Crystallized Copper Shimmer. Is a copper foil with a rainbow assortment of micro glitter. Initially I really thought I would really dislike this color and I generally steer clear of shades like this because they wash me out BUT I LOVE IT! The formula was amazing and it reached full opacity in 2 thin coats. Dry time was average, nothing to write home about. No top coat used for this swatch.

Electrify: High-wattage gold and ruby red glitter blend. Not much to really add to that description because its spot on. Formula was actually not bad for this to be such a jammed packed glitter. I applied 2 thin coats over Harvest Moon to get this look. I think at 3 coats it would have reached opacity on its own. This baby is a top coat eater so your going to need to double up. I'm not particularly crazy about this polish, because I feel like it belongs in the holiday season maybe?... I know that's when I will most likely bring it out again to use for nail art.

I know you've already seen so many swatches of this collection that you could cry, but I didn't get to share mine yet. What do you thing of Harvest Moon and Electrify? I really like the first but the second is meh. Thanks for stopping by to see what I have to share.

Kisses

Light It Up Blue

Hello Babes! I'm sharing my blue mani for World Autism Awareness Day. If you are unfamiliar with autism and what the cause is about, please head on over to the website and read up on it. Today I'm sharing Nail the Bytch Jelly Jeans Queen with you today. JJQ is a slate blue jelly with a beautiful blue micro shimmer that's fully opaque in 2 coats. The formula is a little on the thin side and was a tad streaky on the first coat, but leveled out perfectly smooth on the second. Dry time is amazingly fast, and it dries to a nice high gloss finish. The swatches below are 2 coats with no top coat.

What do you think of JJQ? I really love this polish, its the perfect shade of blue. The third picture is with flash so you can see the subtle shimmer that doesn't show up in the other two, but its true color is the first two pictures. Today is World Autism Awareness Day, but the whole month for the US is National Autism Awareness Month. Any support of the cause no matter how small means a lot to this cause. Its not to late to Shine A Light On Autism. Nail the Bytch polish can be purchased directly from their website for $6USD. Don't forget to like them on Facebook and follow them on Twitter. Thanks for stopping by :o)

Nail the B.y.t.c.h

Good Morning Babes! Today I have 3 fun polishes to share with you from Nail the B.y.t.c.h. I had the opportunity to chose which ones I would like to share with my lovelies. I picked just 6 random colors, some I like and some that I normally wouldn't go for just to be completely open. I will be sharing the first 3 with you today. I love the meaning behind the name Be Your Own True Heroine, the reasoning behind the name is very empowering. Below is the description behind the name:

Nail the B.Y.T.C.H is more than just a novelty nail polish line. We would like to think of it as our own little movement. There are so many ways of labeling ourselves in today’s society. Some labels are frowned upon and some are empowering. We are definitely all about empowerment and positivity. Nail the B.Y.T.C.H wants our consumer to Be Your True Creative Heroine. This allows us to take a hard look at the label of being a bitch and the negative connotations thrown out so freely and extract its venom. Fashion, cosmetics and even music help us define who we are in the world down to the smallest of details. Why not the color of our nails? Nail polish, nail art and design have always been an important part of any fashion trend. This is why we are supplying the perfect instrument for Being Your True Creative Heroine without being offensive. Hummm…We are some clever little Bytches aren’t we! Choose from our palette of nail lacquer that grants you an opportunity to be bold and true to your inner heroine. You decide which B.Y.T.C.H to use as your mode of self expression.

All swatches below are two coats and no top coat unless I specify otherwise. Lets take a look at what I have to share with you today :)

Cup My Cakes is a very bright (almost neon) peach creme. Application was a piece of cake (very bad pun LOL) because of the amazing formula. I thought it would be a streaky nightmare after the first coat, but it was completely opaque at two and leveled out perfectly.

Fruity Cutie Butte is a lovely lavender creme. FCB is how the baby would look of Essie's Play Date and OPI's Rumples Wiggin', that's how I would describe this particular shade of purple. Formula and application for this baby is the same as CMC with two easy coats and a great formula. I just can't get over the shine with no tc!

Pretty Slick Bytch is a very pretty bright tangerine orange with silver micro shimmer. Application on this one was not so good, as are with most frosts. PSB was an absolute streaky mess, and took three coats to look somewhat decent. I've never painted so slow and carefully in my life, and there are still some brush strokes! Dry time was on the slower side than the cremes, even with fast drying top coat that I added in hopes of minimizing the appearance of streaks (fail). I don't like this one for my skin tone, so its definitely my least favorite out of the bunch.

Jennifer Smith and Lanaia Edwards founded Tru Duo LLC, makers of Nail the B.Y.T.C.H. in October 2010. They are cousins from Chicago who always dreamed of owning their own business and finally saw it into reality. Collectively, with over 10 years experience in the Beauty Industry, their passion ignited them to launch this daring line of nail lacquers. Nail the B.Y.T.C.H is about being Bold…Expressive…Being Your True Creative Heroine! This brand will feature exuberant, bold colors and names that appeal to the edgy, everyday consumer who wants to be their own fashionista. These two women weren’t afraid to be brave, forward and a tad controversial. If you were to consider either of them a Bytch, well it will be on their terms. That’s the Motto.

Nail the Bytch polishes can be purchased directly the Nail the B.y.t.c.h. website for $6 each.

What do you think of the first 3 lovely shades I'm sharing? I like all 3 colors even thought I think PSB doesn't go well with my skin tone. I can't wait to see what Jennifer and Lanaia come up with for their summer collection. Thanks for stopping by :o)

Day 7: Black And White With Glitter

This is extremely late and I am sorry about that, but I will be posting the last four throughout the weekend. Today I have Black and White with glitters to share with you for Day 7. Originally when I saw this day I said that it would be my chance to use my Nubar Black and White Dots, but I passed because I thought there might be a chance that one of my other challenge mates might do it at some point during this challenge. This one really stumped me because there aren't a ton of black and white glitters out there to chose from (def wasn't about to use CTD). So what I finally decided to do is an alternating black and white nails and layer Dollish Polish Team Salvatore over each. I absolutely LOVE this glitter and definitely see myself getting great use out of it! I'm mad for not posting this the day of the challenge because it was a big hit on IG, but finally I have time to sit at the computer and play catch up. Onto the yumminess...

Late Pink Wednesday

Hello Babes! I know I've been a bit absent, but things have been a little crazy lately. I've been swatching through my untrieds like crazy, so I will have a lot of great colors (some old and some new) to share with you. Pink Wednesday its been a while but I had to share this baby with you! If you follow me on Twitter or like my FB page you know I've been trying to hunt down the long discontinued Essence Twins. Well I was able to get all the sets but the very first, and I am one happy gal. Today I have Essence Twins Carrie and Mr. Big to share with you that I got with the help of the very sweet Dolores of Colorful Bottle. All I have to say about this baby is Love At First Sight. I knew I would love it before even swatching it, and I am so happy that I wasn't disappointed. Mr. Big is a dark magenta pink creme that was fully opaque in 2 coats. Carrie is a clear base packed with dark pink, purple, magenta, silver, and light pink hexes, small glitter, and square glitters. Onto the swatches...

What do you think of Carrie and Mr. Big on me? I'm absolutely in love with this combo! Thanks for stopping by and reading.

Day 6: Color Base With White

Good Morning Babes! Today I had to pick a color base with white. I used Kiko 341 as my base, special white polish, Shany ip SH22, and Seche Vite as my top coat. I just love 341, its such a bright fun tealish turquoise? It was super hard to capture however, but I managed to pretty much get what it looks like in the second picture...

What do you think of the stamp pairing? I really like this color with the white stamping and design, it kind of called to me lol. I'm sorry about all the glares but I had to get super close with the flash in the first picture, and far away with the flash and zoom in with the second picture. The quality of the second picture seriously sucks. I have no idea why it wouldn't let me enlarge without really making the picture blurry, but I did have to take this picture as far away as I could just to get the true color. I'm going to have to swatch 341 again during the daytime to see if I can get better picture. Anyhoo don't forget to check out what the other lovelies came up with today :o) Thanks for stopping by!

Day 5: Color Base With Something Black

Hello Darlings. Today for Day 5 we have a color base with something black. OF COURSE you know I was going to pick blue or pink! My base is 2 coats of Essie Splash of Grenadine (which I've had FOREVER and still managed never wear as a fully mani -will be remedied ASAP-, I know I'm grounded! LOL!), special black polish, big DRK-A ip, and SV.

What do you think of what I came up with for today? I know you have been seeing a lot of this ip, but I'm on a mission swatching through my hundreds of untried polish and ip's so bear with me. This image was a bish to transfer, but I was determined to get this girly punk image right because it was one of the reasons I was most excited about getting this ip. The other images are perfection, but this one was just ugh. Don't forget to check on the other lovely ladies who are also doing this challenge. Oh and I'm doing a 31 Day Untrieds challenge on Instagram, so if you have an iPhone check me out over there :o) ! Thanks for stopping by to see what I have to share with you today.

Good Morning Babes and Happy Saturday! Day 4 of the challenge is a white base with some color. My base is OPI Alpine Snow, stamped using aEngland Tristam, DRK-A big ip, and Seche Vite as my tc. I love this image because it reminds me of jellyfish floating in the ocean :o)

What do you think of this combo? Have you ever seen jellyfish floating in the ocean, or been to the aquarium and seen the different types of pretty jellyfish? If not you really should, some are just amazing! My mani jellyfish on my middle finger floated away :o( lol. I'm really falling in love with these mani's using black and white. I usually only stamp with one or the other, but they generally the base or main color in the creation. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your weekends.
