Late Pink Wednesday

Hello Babes! I know I've been a bit absent, but things have been a little crazy lately. I've been swatching through my untrieds like crazy, so I will have a lot of great colors (some old and some new) to share with you. Pink Wednesday its been a while but I had to share this baby with you! If you follow me on Twitter or like my FB page you know I've been trying to hunt down the long discontinued Essence Twins. Well I was able to get all the sets but the very first, and I am one happy gal. Today I have Essence Twins Carrie and Mr. Big to share with you that I got with the help of the very sweet Dolores of Colorful Bottle. All I have to say about this baby is Love At First Sight. I knew I would love it before even swatching it, and I am so happy that I wasn't disappointed. Mr. Big is a dark magenta pink creme that was fully opaque in 2 coats. Carrie is a clear base packed with dark pink, purple, magenta, silver, and light pink hexes, small glitter, and square glitters. Onto the swatches...

What do you think of Carrie and Mr. Big on me? I'm absolutely in love with this combo! Thanks for stopping by and reading.

Dr's Remedy Positive Pink

Good Morning my loves! Today I have a lovely pink from Dr's Remedy to share with you. Positive Pink is a dusty pink creme that is in the Barbie pink family. PP was released for Breast Cancer Awareness Month in 2011. The formula was a little on the thin and runny side, but it was easy to manage and fully opaque in 3 thin coats. Dry time was pretty good, and it dried with a nice glossy finish. IRL its a tiny bit darker, and dustier. It reminds me of Sparrow Me The Drama by OPI (which I will do a comparison for soon). In the swatch below I used no tc.

Just because I wanted to try out my Red Angel plates that I got for Christmas I decided to spruce this mani up a little. I just picked a random plate and design and didn't put much thought into it. I used special polish in Psyche Pink, ip RA-108. I don't care for how the design came out all. It would probably look much better on a black and white combination, blue and white, any other combo than what I chose lol. That aside that plates stamp wonderfully, because the images are etched out nice and deep and grab easily. I think I just pressed down much to hard (because its a little smudged together) because that's what I had to do with all the other ip's to get a good transfer. The picture with flash shows the design a bit better...

What do you think about Positive Pink? Positive Pink I like, the stamping eh bleh. Perhaps I will try something a bit more delicate next time, last time I will do a blind pick lol. Thanks for stopping by babes :o)

Pink Wednesday!

I'M BAAAAAAAAAAAACCCCCCKKKK LOL! Good Afternoon Babes! Its feels like its been foreverrrrrr! I went to Florida to spend Christmas with my family for a little over 2 weeks and just got back a few days ago. What better day to come back than to a Pink Wednesday? What I'm sharing with you today is Excuse Moi! from the OPI Muppet's Collection. Excuse Moi! has a pink jelly base packed with pink and silver micro glitter, and bigger yellow, pink, green, red, silver and blue glitter. The formula was a tiny bit thick, but not goopy like NOPI Wear Something Spar-Kylie (which I think would be a dupe of EM if you eliminate all the glitter except for pink) which was super goopy. Application was very good on this beauty, and was fully opaque in just 2 coats. Dry time was very good, but it dried a little on the dull and textured side. EM is top coat hungry and required 2 coats of SV to get a smooth shiny finish.

I looooooove this so much! Its special to me because it was my #1 pick from the entire collection, and my sister Jessica bought it for me for Christmas. I know everyone has swatched it but I don't care, I haven't so I'm sharing it today ;o) . Thanks for stopping by and letting me share this sparkly Pink Wednesday mani with you!

Pink Wednesday

Hello Babes and Happy Pink Wednesday! Today I have Essence Ultimate Pink to share with you. For the swatches below I used 2 thin coats, Konad ip m83, special white polish, and SV as my tc. Ultimate Pink is a pretty hot pink with an amazing formula that dried pretty fast. There's nothing original about this color and there are tons out there like it, but its still a pretty pink and you know I love my pinks.

The 1st picture has flash and the 2nd is just regular natural rainy day light. Below I have UP on its own.

What do you think of UP and the stamping? I just love that sassy cat stamp, I've been wanting to use it for a while now. Thanks for stopping by :o)

Pink Wednesday

Good Morning Babes and Happy Pink Wednesday. Today I have Bettina #9 which is a dusty deep muavey rose toned pink creme polish. #9 has an amazing formula just like all my other Bettina's, and was opaque in 2 thin coats. I used Konad ip M78, special white polish, and SV as my tc. Well this color looks like barf on a stick on my skin tone - FUGLY! It reminds me of the colors little old ladies get their hands and toes painted when they go to the nail shop. Don't get me wrong, the color is pretty just not on my skin tone. Of course I had a stamping fail grrrr not my Konading week.

Do you like #9 and the stamp I chose to use over it? I love pink but this isn't normally a pink I would go for which is why I chose it. Not my favorite but I promised to be completely open minded when I started blogging and to try all colors :o)  Thanks for stopping by!

Simply Sweet Sundays

Good Afternoon Babes! Today I have Deborah Lippmann's Some Enchanted Evening to share with you. S.E.E. has a clear base with rose pink glitter and hexi's. I layered 1 coat over 2 coats of OPI's Steady As She Rose. Application and formula were really good, and it dries fast and smooth with no bumps. This is the perfect glitter for someone that isn't to crazy about glitter, its very soft and delicate and could probably even be worn to work. For the pictures below I used to tc as it was very glossy on its own.

Just for fun I really had to try mattifying this look and I must say that I really fell in love with it like this...

What do you think of Some Enchanted Evening? I really love this and I'm mad that its gone untried for so long. Enjoy your Sunday and thanks for stopping by :o)

Pink Wednesday

Good Afternoon Babes and Happy Pink Wednesday! Super late post today, I usually schedule my posts to go out before I'm even out of bed for my international readers but I was still recovering from lack of sleep so I had to do swatches this morning. Today I have CND Blueberry Whip. Blueberry Whip is a soft dusty pink with blue undertones, in fact those undertones are so visible that it almost washes out the pink completely. The formula was amazing, but the polish holds a TON of polish so you have to be careful of that or you will have a mess on your hands. It took 2 coats to reach opacity and it dried super duper fast to a nice glossy finish. No tc in the pictures below.

With flash
The first is how BW really looks. Of course because its CND I had to try an effect with it. Below is 1 coat of Violet Shimmer over BW and no tc.

What do you think of Blueberry Whip? I really like it and the fact that it has so much blue in it, its a very unique pink in my collection. Thanks for stopping by so that I could share with you :)

Nfu. Oh #63

Good Morning Babes! Today I have a quick post for you today to show you Nfu. Oh #63. #63 is a pink holo with flashes of orange, green and blue. I've had this (and #61) for a while but I had to wait for a day when the sun was really out and not playing peek-a-boo so that I could really show you how it looks. I absolutely love this color and I couldn't have chose a better first holo for myself. For the swatches below I used 2 coats of #63 over the Nfu. Oh Aqua Base. I've heard stories about how these holo's have horrid application but I had absolutely no problem, which could be because I have never applied it without the base. I didn't use a top coat but I did contemplate OPI's DS Topcoat because I own it, so I will try it when I swatch #61. When applying you have to be careful to make sure you get even brush strokes because it can come out looking crazy if you aren't careful. Dry time was very very fast. Enough rambling and onto the beauty known as #63.

What do you think of Nfu. Oh #63? I definitely love this color and had a few people that don't know much about polish in awe! I will definitely be rockin some holo's something serious next summer! Thanks for stopping by :)

Pink Wednesday!

Good Morning Babes and Happy Pink Wednesday! What I have for you today is Devious Nature by Cult Nails. Devious Nature is a beautiful hot pink without being to loud, that has a blue undertone. I LOVE THIS COLOR, and not just for obvious reasons, its just a very beautiful pink and it looks really good on my skin tone. For the pictures below I used 2 thin coats and no top coat. The formula is absolutely amazing, very easy to apply and dries super fast - like to the touch with pressure fast.

What do you think of Devious Nature, isn't it gorg?! Thanks for stopping by :)

Simply Sweet Sundays: Essie Raise Awareness

Hello Babes! October is almost over and I have yet to do a post for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so I have a quick post of a polish that is absolutely amazing! I have Essie Raise Awareness in support of Living Beyond Breast Cancer, which a portion of the proceeds from sales go to. Raise Awareness is a soft light pink (almost baby pink but not quite, its much prettier) cream polish that has an AMAZING formula, I didn't have to do any cleanup! For the swatches below I used 3 thin coats, 2 is almost enough but I wanted the true color to pop so I did 3. I used INM OTD as my TC because I wanted it to be dry already (I'm wearing this right now), but its super shiny on its own.

Isn't Raise Awareness one of the prettiest soft pinks EVER?! I think it's absolutely amaze! Thanks for stopping by :)

Bettina #128

Good Morning Babes! I will be showing you Bettina #128 from their core collection. #128 is a pink cream polish that leans towards salmon with a really pretty micro shimmer. The formula is good and easy to work with, a little streaky on coat 1 but evens out perfectly on the second coat. For the swatches below I used 2 coats and no top coat. Dry time is amazing and has a very glossy finish. This color is very different for me and not something I would normally go for, so I didn't want to add anything to it.

What do you think of  Bettina #128? Its such a different color for me and I'm very happy that I gave it a try! Thanks for stopping by!

Simply Sweet Sundays: Revlon Starry Pink

Good Morning Babes! What I have for you is the amazing Starry Pink from the Revlon Expressionists Collection. Starry Pink has a sheer soft baby pink base with small silver and silver hexi glitter. The formula is easy to work with and builds to opacity in 3 thin coats. I used Seche as my coat was good to go.

I know Starry Pink has been seen swatched all over the place but I haven't yet so here it is :)  I love how it looks against my pecan brown skin tone! What do you think about Starry Pink?

Pink Wednesday Candy Manicure

Good Morning Babes! I wanted to do something cute with a pop for today's Pink Wednesday, so I chose a candy mani that I kept going back to look at over the past couple of months. I finally did it when I realized that I actually have the same exact colors, so for my first I'm going to play it safe and try someone else's before I get creative on my own :) (I have plenty of creams, glitters, and jellies). I saw this idea here on Tara over at Nails in Nippon blog and I immediately fell in love. I used 1 coat of OPI Sparrow Me The Drama, 2 coats of OPI Teenage Dream, 1 coat of OPI Guy Meets Gal-veston, and Seche as my top coat. With base and Seche that's 5 coats, so be patient with drying even with Seche. They jelly definitely seals the deal, but it does look pretty before the jelly :)  Here's how it turned out for me:

If you look at the originator post you will see that it looks completely different on a different skin tones. I loved this and I didn't want to take it off, so I will definitely be re-doing this on a fun weekend :)  What do you think of how this candy manicure came out on me? Thanks for stopping by!

Bettina Topaz

Good Morning Babes! Today I have Bettina Topaz for you from the Gems Collection. The formula was good and easy to work with, it did need 3 coats however and dry time was a bit on the long side. I stamped using Bundle Monster plate BM224, Konad special polish in white, and Seche as my top coat. The finish had a glass like finish with micro shimmer, GORG! This color was beautiful but I had a hard time capturing it when I was taking pictures so I will definitely be re-visiting this beauty.

Here's Topaz on it own after painting the previous night. As I previously stated it took forever to dry and even after applying Seche and letting it sit for the normal amount of time that it takes Seche to dry my other Bettina's it STILL got messed up! So I will definitely be swatching this again when I have plenty of time on my hands.

What do you think about Bettina Topaz? Its actually very pretty but I just couldn't get a good picture to save my life. Thanks for stopping by!

Pink Wednesday!

For today's Pink Wednesday I'm doing a China Glaze edition. I have 3 pink China Glaze polishes and 1 crackle (I should have 5 but I will get into that at another time), so I'm going to knock out the 3 solids with 1 post as I have over 100 polishes to swatch through before I can add to my collection. What I'm showing you today is Sprinkles, Strawberry Fields, and Don't Touch My Tiara. Strawberry Fields I bought for obvious reasons - Its gotten rave reviews and I loved the unique color blend, Sprinkles I hadn't actually viewed a swatch before I purchased it but it was just so pretty that I couldn't resist (you will see why), Don't Touch My Tiara because it has a beautiful shimmery metallic look with a hint of pearl to it, and Broken Hearted because I was disappointed in OPI's Pink Shatter, I wanted it to be REALLY pink and it wasn't so I bought the Crackle (you will see this one on another day). Now onto the swatches...

Sprinkles - I LOVE this color! I think its absolutely FAB! This is officially my new favorite pink glitter until I can find something to top it! Its a medium pink polish with hot pink glitter. There's enough glitter for the glitter to be noticeable but not so much to where it would be inappropriate to where it to certain places like work. I used 3 thin coats to reach my desired opacity. Very easy to paint with, perfect formula, and good dry time. I used Seche as a top coat. I fell in love with the sprinkles, they really do look like sprinkles! The best part is that it translates onto the nail just as you see it in the bottle. I didn't want to take it off :(

With flash so you can see the gold micro shimmer.

Strawberry Fields - Well this polish speaks for itself because its so popular, and every blogger has blogged about it. Hot pink polish with gold micro shimmer. The formula is a little on the thick side but in a good way. Two easy coats and dry time was ok, I used Seche on this one as well.

Don't Touch My Tiara - A dark pink polish that looks like it could be a metallic or chrome polish in the bottle but it definitely is not. It has a sort of pearl  like flow to it that makes it really pretty in my opinion. The formula was thin but evened out perfectly and opaque at 2 coats. I used Seche as a top coat which drug the polish a little on my index finger (which you can see in the pictures), so I put that down immediately and grabbed INM Out the Door.

Which one is your favorite? I love Sprinkles and I can't wait until next summer to wear it a lot, hey I might be seen wearing it a few times this fall lol!
