10 Day Challenge: Day 10 - Ombre Nails

Oh My Goodness Babes, we have made it to day 10. I was seriously frustrated on some days but I had a blast through it all. Up today for our last day is Ombre Nails which is basically a gradient that fades on each finger versus on one finger. I had to re-do these twice and they still came out ugly but hey you win some you lose some. I used Bettina Art Deco Aqua and Nature Clouds to do this mani. What I did was I painted my pinkie with ADA and then with each finger I dropped 3 drops, then 6, then 9.... The first time I only did 1-4 but you couldn't see a significant difference in the pictures so I went back and tripled it instead. I really think its just the color I chose, I should have went with a primary color. I'm definitely not giving up on this, I will revisit it until I master it. Well onto the epic fail formerly know as my gradient mani lol.

My Challenge Mates:
Carolina - Colores de Carol
Marta - Chit Chat Nails

Thank you so much for all the lovely feedback we've received during this mini challenge. We had so much fun brainstorming about what we were going to do and sharing it with all our readers. Don't forget to check on my challenge buddies to see what they've done for ombre nails, and to follow their lovely blogs if you aren't already - Carolina, Tera, and Marta. Everyone be safe and have a lovely Thanksgiving :o)

10 Day Challenge: Day 9 - Favorite Color Combination

Good Morning Babes and welcome to Day 9 of the Challenge! I can't believe that tomorrow is the last day, this was so much fun! My post is a little later today because I wasn't feeling good last night and didn't get around to scheduling this post, so I let it wait until today to do. My color combo is Pink & Chocolate, and I chose those colors because they were my baby Ailani's colors when she was first born. Her bassinet , travel system and tons of clothes were done in these colors and I absolutely loved it! I had all these ideas to do something really fabulous like some of my favorite outfits of hers, but decided in the end on something simple and sweet. I used 2 coats of OPI Sparrow Me the Drama as my base, stamped with Konad ip m78, Bettina Art Deco Brown, and SV as my top coat.

My Challenge Mates:
Carolina - Colores de Carol
Marta - Chit Chat Nails

What do you think of this color combo? I actually really like these simple nails :o) I had to use pictures that all had flash because for some reason the regular natural light ones weren't showing the true color of SMTD. Don't forget to check on my challenge buddies to see what they've done for favorite color combo, nails and to follow their lovely blogs if you aren't already - Carolina, Tera, and Marta. Thanks for stopping by to let me share with you, and see you tomorrow for the final day with Ombre Nails :o)

10 Day Challenge: Day 8 - Favorite Movie or Inspired by a Movie

Good Morning Babes and welcome to Day 8 of challenge. Today is movie nails and I chose something that I have been wanting to do - Breakfast at Tiffany's! When I bought the infamous For Audrey by China Glaze months ago, I already knew that the first time I would use it would be to do a movie inspired mani. However, the mani is nothing like how I envisioned it because my Chez Delaney plates that I ordered and shipped over 3 weeks ago are still not here, so I had to scramble to alter the mani. I started off with 2 coats of For Audrey, sponged Zoya Trixie, then stamped with Bundle Monster ip 212 and Born Pretty Store ip M77, added a few pieces of glitter from Kleancolor Chunky Silver, and topped it off with a coat of SV. What I went with was the fashion part of the movie because I just loved what she wore and her accessories. IRL this mani looks much better. I wasn't able to capture a single good picture of how it really looks out of about 100, but either way I'm still not happy with it because I envisioned something completely different... :O(   Onto the nail fail...

My Challenge Mates:
Carolina - Colores de Carol
Marta - Chit Chat Nails

Below are pictures of the colors that I used, and movie stills (source attached in link) of my inspiration behind each nail. I tried to put them in order for the most part according to my nails. The images are pretty small because when I tried to enlarge them they became blurry.

Thanks for stopping by and letting me share my movie nails with you. How do you like them? Don't forget to check on my challenge buddies to see what they've done for movie nails and to follow their lovely blogs if you aren't already - Carolina, Tera, and Marta. Oh and I forgot to mention it yesterday but I hit my 2 month mark of blogging!

10 Day Challenge: Day 7 Favorite Freehand Nail Art Design

Good Morning Babes and welcome to day 7 of our challenge! I can't believe were almost done, its only a mini challenge but still we're having a ball together. Favorite Freehand Nail Art Design is what we have going on today, and what I chose is Peacock Nails! I'll be totally honest and let you know that I absolutely suck at drawing/freehand AND I don't have all the necessary tools yet to really give it a full green light. However I did buy a dotting tool set when I first started my blog so I did use those for the first time. I have been following Cute Polish on YouTube for a while and I really love her cute designs, so I scrolled through and picked one that was more my speed. I used 2 coats of Bettina 194 as my base, dotted with Kleancolor Metallic Yellow, Bettina Jeans Indigo, and Bettina Nature Ocean. I added a very light coat of INM NL, then used a thick coat of SV and was good to go.

My Challenge Mates:
Carolina - Colores de Carol
TeraNails in Nippon
Marta - Chit Chat Nails

How do you like my Peacock Nails? If you haven't already stopped by to check out Tera, Marta and Carolina today, don't forget to drop by and follow their lovely blogs if you aren't already. Thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow for Movie Nails!

10 Day Challenge: Day 6 - Favorite Celebrity Manicure

Good Morning Babes and welcome to Day 6 of the challenge! Today calls for Favorite Celebrity Manicure. When I thought of doing this particular day I automatically knew what I wanted to do and it was LiLo's court mani that kind of got her in little hot water. Her nails are most likely airbrushed but of course since I don't do that and have no access to those type of tools I will be sponging. I used all Bettina polishes for this mani, Konad ip M57 and special polish in white, and topped it off with a nice thick coat of SV.

My Challenge Mates:
Carolina - Colores de Carol
TeraNails in Nippon
Marta - Chit Chat Nails

The 3rd and 4th picture have flash. The sun was going down fast so these pictures are a little on the dark side. Below is a close up of the inspiration of this mani minus the bad word that took away from such a cute fun mani. Below that are pictures of the colors I used.

How do you think my LiLo Court Nails came out? This is by far my favorite mani I have done so far, I didn't want to take it off! Lindsey's color's are softer and and her print less pronounced, but I still love mine as much as hers :) . Don't forget to check out what my boo's came up with today - Carolina, Tera, and Marta! See you tomorrow for Favorite Freehand Nail Art Design, and thanks for stopping by :o)

10 Day Challenge: Day 5 - Blue Nails

Good Morning Babes! Oh my goodness we are halfway through our mini challenge! Denim by Picture Polish is what I chose for my Blue Nails, and its also my first Picture Polish. I ordered Denim from the lovely Katie at Harlow & Co in a mini haul last month. Denim is a dark periwinkle that has pearl white flakies, with purple and blue micro glitter. If it weren't for the flakies it would be a dupe for Essie's Smooth Sailing because the blue is the same shade - Almost. The difference is SS has silver micro glitter where Denim has flakies instead, also the glitter in Denim is much more prominent. They are definitely worth owning both in my opinion because those few differences set them far apart. The formula on Demin was a little on the thick side but not in a bad way, however I do suggest you to allow a tiny bit of dry time in between coats. It took 2 coats to reach opacity, very easy to paint with, and dry time is very good. I used INM Out the Door as my top coat and I was in Heaven. I couldn't bring myself to stamp over this, it would have just been wrong AND periwinkle is my favorite blue!

My Challenge Mates:
Carolina - Colores de Carol
TeraNails in Nippon
Marta - Chit Chat Nails

Blurry flash shot so you can see the glittah!

So are you loving Denim or what? I'm so in love with this polish I can't even explain to you how much! It's like Revlon's Royal Cloak long lost cousin! Don't forget to stop by and check out my lovelies blue nails for today - Tera, Marta and Carolina! Thanks for stopping by and letting me share with you, and see you tomorrow for Favorite Celebrity Manicure!

If you want to own Demin or any other Picture Polish, Nubar, Glitter Gal, Ozotic, POP Beauty, Models Own head on over to check out Katie's website Harlow & Co. She's very nice and with both times I've ordered from her my items shipped the very next day, and she communicates very well! I get my items faster from her than I do with e-tailers here in the states and she's in Canada. She's on Facebook and Twitter so don't forget to look her up and Like and Follow her :o)

10 Day Challenge: Day 4 - Animal Print

Good Morning Babes! Day 4 is Animal Print Nails for Carolina, Tera, Marta and I! I really wanted to do animal print nails because I haven't really done them at all since I started blogging. I chose red because its really a color that I have always avoided and just haven't cared for, but when I started blogging I said I was going to try all colors and be open minded. For the swatches below I used 2 coats of Bettina Candy Marshmallow as my base, then sponged with Bettina Resort Bonfire, after that I added 1 coat of INM Northern lights, and last I stamped with BM IP 223 and special polish black.  I topped it off with a thick coat of SV and fell in love. My nails are getting to long for the IP's so its time to file them down lol. Onto the swatches...

How do you like my fire red animal print? I'm not really crazy about red but I really like this and got a lot of compliments about them. Boo Thang said these are very nice! Don't forget to stop by Tera, Marta and Carolina's blogs to see their animal print mani's today! Thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow for our Blue Nails :o)

10 Day Challenge: Day 3 - Favorite Book or Inspired by a Book

Good Morning Babes and welcome to Day 3 of our 10 Day Challenge. If this is your first visit I'm doing a 10 day challenge with 3 other amazing bloggers. Up today is Favorite Book or Inspired by a Book. I originally chose a book by Rick Riordan (author of Percy Jackson and the Olympians) but I didn't get the IP's that I planned on using in time enough, so I will revisit them on my next Sunday Funday. One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish by Dr Seuss is the book that I chose. My favorite book by Dr Seuss as a child was Green Eggs and Ham but I was running super short on time and daylight so I chose something super simple. I used 2 coats of Bettina Marshmallow as my base, stamped with Bundle Monster IP BM04, special black polish, Zoya Sooki, and Bettina Jeans Indigo. It was so plain that I added 2 coats of INM Northern Lights as my tc instead of a regular tc. I redeem myself tomorrow, I promise ;o)

My Challenge Mates:
Carolina - Colores de Carol
TeraNails in Nippon
Marta - Chit Chat Nails

Thinking of it now I really should have used Bettina Glamour Midnite as my base coat to make this mani not look so blah. Its pretty easy to see that I just stamped the title of the book on each nails in order... Don't forget to stop by and check out what my lovely challenge buddies Carolina, Tera, and Marta came up with for their Book Nails. See you tomorrow for Animal Print Nails, I really had fun doing them :o)

10 Day Challenge: Day 2 - Rainbow Nails

Good Morning Babes and welcome to Day 2 of the challenge. Rainbow Nails is what Carolina, Tera, Marta and I have to share with you today. Originally I was going to try my first tape mani but I had so many things going on in my head that I wanted try that I just settled on something a little simpler and I will revisit the tape mani in the near future. For my base I used 2 coats of Bettina Clouds, I sponged with all Bettina colors (picture of colors shown below), and stamped with BM IP 201 using special white polish. I topped it off with INM Northern Light holo tc, and then SV.

Here's all the colors that I used while doing this mani.

Thanks for stopping by for day 2 of our challenge! I'm a little mixed about my rainbow nails, I don't really care for how they came out. I said they were a total fail and asked Boo Thang what he thought and he co-signed and said yeah they are. What does he know about nails anyway? Pssssch. LOL! Don't forget to stop by Marta, Tera, and Carolina's blogs to see what they did for their rainbow nails today and if you aren't already following them don't hesitate to click that Follow button!

10 Day Challenge: Day 1 - Pink Nails

Good Morning Babes! Today Carolina from Colores de Carol, Tera from Nails in Nippon, Marta from Chitchat Nails and I will doing a 10 day mini challenge. I've been wanting to do a full 31 day challenge since before I started blogging, but for our first we agreed a mini challenge would be best to try first :o) . Today is Pink Nails which just so happens to be one of my favorite colors, so I chose a pink that I lemmed after like a madwoman and finally got it in a swap! Pink Summer by H&M from the Hello Kitty Collection is a dark hot pink. I would call this color Barbie's sexy side! I LOVE THIS COLOR and its officially my perfect pink! For the pictures below I used 2 coats but probably could have gotten away with 1 because its very pigmented. It dried quickly to a nice glossy finish. I used BM ip 220, a Hello Kitty ip that just has B87 on it but doesn't say who its by, and OPI Sparrow Me The Drama as my stamping polish. I really didn't want to stamp over this pink because I absolutely love it so much that I like wearing it on its own, so I chose a color to stamp with that would show up more like a shadow so that it doesn't overshadow Pink Summer. I used 1 coat of SV as my top coat.

Here's a picture of Pink Summer on its own with INM Out the Door as my tc. Isn't it the prettiest pink?!

What do you think of Pink Summer? Thanks for stopping by and letting me share the 1st day of our challenge with you. Don't forget to stop by Carolina, Marta, and Tera's blogs to see what they came up for their pink nails today, if you aren't followers of their blog yet your missing out because they are awesome! :o)
