Glitrix Smurfy

Good Morning Babes! Super quick post to share with you today. Glitrix Smurfy is a bright blue creme polish packed with small red glitter and silver holo hexes. Unfortunately with the weird star bottle and the formula being so thick, the hexes refused to be fished out. I really really cant stand this bottle because most of the glitter settles in the points of the star, and its impossible to get. The formula was thick but not a bad way. Application was buttery smooth, and reaches opacity in 2 thin coats. This bad boy stains like no other (you will see), so be careful around your cuticles! I used Seche Vite as my top coat. What do you think of Smurfy? I will be honest and say that I'm  a little disappointed in this polish. I wanted more red glitter to translate onto the nail, and at least one stinking holo glitter sheesh. I almost didn't post these swatches because the staining makes me a little sick to my stomach, but they have been sitting in drafts for weeks, so I decided to go ahead and post them. I'm going to swatch Smurfy again in the near future when I have spare time on my hands, and patience to see if I have better luck next time with more glitter. Day 1: Black on White

Good Morning Babes! Today is the first day of a 10 Day Challenge I will be participating in that was created by Mateja of Purple Glitters. Today's nails have to have a white base with black on top. My base is 2 coats of Zoya Purity (the best white EVER), I stamped using special black polish, my new Brazilian big DRK-A ip, and finished with a coat of SV. I didn't have any set idea, I really just picked a random image on the ip to use since I hadn't used this plate yet, and I'm happy with what I chose.

What do you think of what I came up with for Black on White? It was SUPER late and I rushed to put tc on and smeared it a little 2 fingers, but other than that I actually really like it and I really really don't want to take it off :o( . Also this is my first time using my light box, and I'm happy that the pictures turned out true to color (now to just test colors :-/). Fierce Friday: Party On My Yacht

Good Evening Babes! I know its been a while, but I know you all understand that life happens. I have Party On My Yacht by Pretty & Polished to share with you this evening. Chels of Pretty n Polished and the creator of this lovely gem said the name came from the gorgeous champagne colored sparkles and brightly colored "summer shore" colors. Application and formula was amazing and it took 3 thin coats to reach full opacity. There's gold, purple, green, and hot pink glitters, along with blue bar glitter packed in a milky white base. I topped it off with a nice coat of SV and it was perfectly smooth. The first 2 pictures are taken outside in natural sunlight, the last picture is indoors.

What do you think of POMY? I can tell you that I was DROOLING for this baby and it didn't disappoint! If you like what you see in the pictures then you will love it in person because its even better! Pink Wednesday

Good Morning Babes! Today for Pink Wednesday I have Models Own Pinky Brown. Pinky Brown is from the Beetlejuice Collection that came out this past fall. PB has the prettiest pink to brown duochrome shift with pink glitter. It looks like it has a very tiny sprinkling of holo glitter which I think is what gives it the glass flecked look. I don't know, I really stared at this polish for a long time and its just so interesting. I'm really bad at explaining this particular lacquer so I will just let the swatches do the talking. I used 2 coats in the swatches below, and SV as my tc.

Please excuse my dry cuticles, I rubbed vitamin e oil on the and they are still bad. This winter has not been kind to my poor hands, thus the nubbins. These swatches aren't my best due to cleanup being a bit hard because by the time I got around to my last swatches for the day my cuticles were extremely irritated (especially my ring and index fingers, ouch :o( ). So what do you think about Pinky Brown? I LOVE IT! Thanks for stopping by and reading :o)

50th Follower Giveaway Winners!

Hello Babes! I know this is waaaay overdue but when I say that I have had A LOT going on, I mean I have had A LOT going on. I know you understand that life happens, and on top of that I traveled a lot for the holidays. Next time I will make sure that a winner is drawn and announced the very next day. I was very frustrated with how I had to sift through all the entries individually because I had the first Rafflecoptor form and something somehow got messed up and so on. It was just time consuming so as I was going through the entries I would write a name on a piece of paper and put it in a bowl as I went through and verified each entry. For example if you had 3 entries by tweeting, fb, and posting my giveaway, your name was on 3 different little scraps of paper. I put the lid on, shook up the bowl really good, and just picked out 2 pieces of paper. My next giveaway will be done through the simple form and chosen through the Random application to make things easier for myself. Enough blabbering and onto the winners...
